Does age matter? Do you think you are old?

Age, a number, part of time, that just grows, something personal, but nobody can stop it

Many poets praise about it, many witters write about it.. but what actually it is..

With age, we become wiser... smarter.... stronger .... mellower... weaker.... maybe???

While its the universal Truth.. many of us are trying to reverse it or trying to stop the eventuality from happening, while some just accepting it without giving it a fight..

From my clinical practise lately, I have the opportunity to come across many "patients" whom define aging very differently.

I have seen an "old" man 46 ... complaining about stomach indigestion problem...he consider himself old as both his parents passed away in their 40's... so is he old?

I have seen a "young" man, 32 .... complaining about prolong coughing ... he consider himself young as he use to run 10km per week and was taekwondo black-belt.. not forgetting that his chest was injure when he was 20... so is he young?

From my observation, age does not matter, while it do tell story about the plausible state of health one ought to be in, it does not really determine how you should lead your life.. the most important things to do is how to age gracefully.

Aging gracefully meant listening to the voice of your body... complementing it.. nourishing it... and then you are able to benefit from it.... use it to perform what you want it to do and achieve...

Any external measure to try to stop it or reversing its progression will only result in accelerated aging when the law of nature overwhelm such physical measure... I believe we have seen many real cases happening around us..

So does age matter??? I have seen young man in their 40's down with stroke, HBP etc and I have seen man at their 70's travel around the world, speaking with strong voice, and helping others...

So while age is a just a number, that grows with years... it stay as just number to many while it is affecting many as well...

So are you old? by the number that carry with you or by the voice your body speaking to you now....?
